LARKANA: August 14, 2015. (Nazir Siyal) A six year baby selling national flags and stickers was brutally attacked by anti-Pakistan elements throwing petrol-bomb; seriously injured girl succumbed to her burnt injuries in Karachi hospital on Friday 14th August.
According to details, 6 year old Sumaiya D/o Mushtaq Shaikh along with cousin Awais before General Post Office-GPO in city were selling national flags, stickers on stall on 13th August at night, unknown accused ridding on motorcycle hurled petrol bag and set stall on fire, resulted the severe burn injuries of two children among 6 year old Sumaiya D/o Mushtaq Shaikh and her cousin Muhammad Awais S/o Mahboob Shaikh were injured and rushed to CMC Hospital emergency ward Larkana.
The Doctors on duties told media that 50 percent body of Sumaiya had been burnt and advised them to shift Karachi for major surgery.
Later, shifted to Karachi hospital for further treatment, where Sumaiya (6) succumbed to her injuries.
Market Police Station registered FIR No. 73/2015 of the incident by Masood Shaikh the grandfather of deceased girl against two unidentified accused were escaped the scene.
The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has announced Rs 0.5 million for the heirs of deceased Sumaiya Shaikh, besides Provincial Minister Nisar Ahmed Khuhro has also took the notice of matter and directed DIG/SSP and the concerned Police to apprehend the culprits
