Mariyah Moten, Miss Pakistan Tourism 2006, wins Miss Charity at the Miss Tourism Queen International 2006 pageant in China. This is yet another proud moment for the Pakistani organizers for the Miss Pakistan World pageant and they are proud at this great achievement. Mariyah Moten stayed in China for almost a month, going through the 5 th largest pageant's vigorous training programs, as well as making friends with so many countries. Mariyah Moten has won a title and that is what the organizers are satisfied with. Mariyah traveled to Beijing, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Hunan and many other cities, learning about the rich culture of China and its people. Mariyah introduced Pakistan's culture to 87 countries. To train for this pageant, Mariyah had to study Paksitan history as well as the tourism industry of Pakistan. She also learnt about the monuments of Pakistan and how rich the culture of Pakistan is. Mariyah talked about the Kalash Valley, which is a very attractive tourist region in Pakistan. Questions such as how to promote tourism in Pakistan were asked and what she loved best about China. Pakistan has got three international titles in total in a short span of three years, since becoming global and stepping into the world of international pageants. The winners of the Miss Tourism Queen International 2006 pageant are as follows: Miss Philippines took the crown this year, followed by Miss Serbia Montenegro, Miss Republic of Congo, Miss Singapore and Miss Brazil. The organizers are now actively involved in many international pageants representing Pakistan. According to the organizer, Sonia Ahmed, "Just to stand out in between 87 countries is a very big thing, especially for a country that does not have a 50 year old resume in regards to beauty pageants. We are happy that Pakistan returned home with a title and that too for a charitable cause. This title truly means something special for us, and we are extremely proud of Mariyah Moten to bring Pakistan once again on the map of international pageants." In her words, Mariyah described her visit to China as being fun. She is bringing back the great culture, hospitality, memories of good friends and the experience she had with 87 countries in China. Pakistan is getting titles every year, which means that there is more potential for a country that has been dormant for the past 50 years in beauty pageants
