KASUR: October 25, 2015. (PCP) A Christian married deaf and dumb woman was gang rapped by three Muslims came to her home when all male members were away working and she asked the rapists for mercy but they mercilessly made her target of their lust. Today a close member of victim family came and met with Sardar Mushtaq Gill, Human Rights Defender, who heads LEAD a free legal aid and advocacy group and requested for legal assistance for the case. He told Mr. Gill that the first information report has been registered and one accused Muhammad Umar was arrested and two were escaped. The heartbreaking incident happened at Village Bonga Ghanda Singh Wala Kasur. In every one of such cases, police either failed to act or sided with the rapists and sometimes witnesses be pressurized to retract from their given statements or political pressure build up on complainant for compromise. A number of Christian women and children in Pakistan are being mauled in silence, with their stories never surfaced and when activists speak on behalf of such victims, they have to be victimized by the hands of extreme oppressive powers.
