Christian teacher under threat on blames of preaching Christianity to Muslim students

Pakistan: December 2, 2015. (PCP) An active member of Seventh Day Adventist SDA Church named Mary Javed and teacher in Government Girls Elementary School in a village of District Pakpattan of Punjab province of Pakistan is under difficult situation after filing of complain by one Muslim blaming her preaching Christianity to Muslim student girls. Adventist Mary Javed is serving as teacher in 14th Pay Scale in Education Department of Government of Punjab since 1988, without any complain against her from her staff members or student girls. In November 2015, one Muslim resident of 15/SP named Mohammad Sharif where Mary Javed is performing her teaching duties at present in Government Girls Elementary School filed a complaint in Education Department against her leveling serious accusation. Mohammad Sharif blamed that teacher Mary Javed is preaching her religion Christianity among female Muslim students and those who do not agree with Mary Javed,s religious views are beaten and given other punishments. Mohamad Sharif wrote in his complaint “Mary Javed is UNHOLY because she in Christian therefore not allow her as teacher of our Muslim girls” Instead of holding enquiry by DEO Education Pakpattan on complain on Mohammad Sharif against Mary Javed, Dy. DEO is appointed an enquiry officer. Adventist Mary Javed in a statement said that she is daughter of Jesus Christ who is her shelter. She denied all allegations against her. Mary Javed said “It is only due to our voice which my husband Javed Sahotra Attorney and my family raise for the rights of our Christian people while some elements threat us to make silent but we will always keep raising our voice for voiceless”
