Religion is the custodian of the values of the society hence notwithstanding stray instances of some clergy showing courage to protect humanity the Christianity was rightly criticized when it failed to stand-up before holocaust and other atrocities perpetrated by Nazi Germany against tens of millions of Jews, Christians etc during world war II and before that what White Americans did to Native Americans (very little of which was narrated also in ‘Trail of tears’) mainly out of greed of land and other natural resources. Similarly present US Christianity is again failing the Christians, as given below, when it is not expecting from President Obama & the people of USA (Americans) to call spade a spade about Islamic terrorism which after terrorist attack at San Bernardino, California (in which 14 killed and 21 injured) has put Americans under permanent fear of next terrorist attack by Islamic terrorists. On the face of it seems as if it is the irresponsible attitude (unbecoming of democratic polity) of Americans which has allowed Prez Obama (during his December, 6 address to nation) such misleading and derelictory statements like:- (1)- ‘[But it is clear that the two of them had gone down the dark path of radicalization embracing a perverted interpretation of Islam that calls for war against America and the West]’. Obama should know that it is not perverted interpretation rather it is right interpretation of Islam which has produced Islamic terrorism (by Muslim husband and wife the perpetrators of terrorist attack at San Bernardino under influence of poisonous propaganda of ISIS ) because for practical purpose religion is what is interpreted by religious leaders. Will Obama & Americans question the religious leaders of Islam of ISIS territory that (i)- How could ISIS perpetrate atrocities and cruelties on civilians (of ISIS territory and of other countries through terrorism) including on children, women and old people when millions of people in ISIS territory (including ISIS fighter) were coming to them at-least on every Friday for Namaz ? (ii)- Does it not mean that all these cruelties and terrorist acts were carried out by ISIS in the knowledge or with the approval of these religious leaders of Islam in ISIS territories? (iii)- Does it not prove that Islam is not a religion of peace and its religious leaders have developed vested interest in ISIS which wants to enforce Sharia Laws (through unethical bloodshed) which ultimately empower clergy of Islam in Caliphate? (2)- ‘[It is this type of attack that we saw at Fort Hood in 2009, in Chattanooga earlier this year, and now in San Bernardino]’. This parallel drawn by Obama between shooting incident at Fort Hood and Chattanooga under personal factors and considerations on one side and shooting at San Bernardino under influence of global Islamic terrorism on other, is simply unpardonable to say the least. (3)- ‘[This is our strategy to destroy ISIL. It is designed and supported by our military commanders and counter-terrorism experts, together with 65 countries that have joined an American-led coalition]’. The USA (and its Supreme Commander of military, the US President Obama) should be ashamed that despite 65 countries (including military superpower, the USA) attacking ISIS for the last ~ 16 months a militarily nonentity ISIS is not eliminated. Nothing wrong in not putting American boots on ground but had USA & its Allies asked Islamic clergy from all over the world to go in ISIS territory to question Clergy of ISIS territory about its role vis-a-vis said Islamic terrorism then by this time USA & its Allies from 65 countries would have succeeded in eliminating ISIS. (4)- ‘[Here’s what else we cannot do. We cannot turn against one another by letting this fight be defined as a war between America and Islam. That, too, is what groups like ISIL want]’. Obama is again wrong. ISIL does not want war between America and Islamic terrorism. ISIS will never want these Islamic clergy from all over the world (to be sent by USA), as mentioned above, in ISIS territories. (5)- ‘[ISIL does not speak for Islam. They are thugs and killers, part of a cult of death. And they account for a tiny fraction of a more than a billion Muslims around the world, including millions of patriotic Muslim-Americans who reject their hateful ideology. Moreover, the vast majority of terrorist victims around the world are Muslim]’. Obama is again wrong. The majority of Muslims across the world may not be guilty by acts of commission but certainly by acts of omission. Unless Muslim-Americans demand Islamic clergy from all over the world to go in ISIS territory as mentioned above, they can not be given clean chit by Obama. (6)- ‘[If we’re to succeed in defeating terrorism, we must enlist Muslim communities as some of our strongest allies, rather than push them away through suspicion and hate. But just as it is the responsibility of Muslims around the world to root out misguided ideas that lead to radicalization, it is the responsibility of all Americans, of every faith, to reject discrimination.]’. Here Obama is not apprehending the reality. Nobody is pushing Muslim-Americans away through suspicion and hate but at the same time Muslim-Americans should come forward to solve the problem of Islamic terrorism (by ISIS, Al-Qaeda etc) by demanding from clergy of Islam in ISIS territory as mentioned above. (7)- ‘[My fellow Americans, I am confident we will succeed in this mission because we are on the right side of history. We were founded upon a belief in human dignity that no matter who you are, or where you come from, or what you look like or what religion you practice, you are equal in the eyes of God and equal in the eyes of the law]’. Here again Obama is wrong. USA is on the wrong side of history as it is following meaningless policies in Syria (a country of ~ 22 millions where ~ 250,000 are killed ~ 11 millions displaced including ~ 4 millions as refugees in other countries including in refugee camps, where horrible stories of sexual exploitation of women / girls of Syria / NAME are circulating in media / social media) because of the simple reason that Christianity in USA (like it happened during White Americans v/s Native Americans) as the custodian of the values of the society has again given-up its fundamental duty of protecting these values. Therefore if US Christianity is left with any sense of humane values (the hallmark of Christianity) and not interested merely in enjoying immense power and wealth (land, landed properties, money etc) given by Americans then without any further delay should vehemently demand from the people of USA (including Prez Obama, Congress and other US politicians) to ask through Muslim-Americans the Muslims all over the world to send the clergy of Islam (from all over the world) in ISIS territories of Syria and Iraq to question the Islamic clergy in ISIS territories that why they are not standing-up against the terrorism, cruelties, brutalities, atrocities and poisonous propaganda of ISIS all over the world.
