PHC expresses concern on Saudi-Iran tension

Islamabad: January 6, 2016. (PCP) Patron-in-chief of Pakistan Hindu Council and MNA, Dr. Ramesh Kumar Vankwani has expressed deep concern over the Saudi-Iran tension. Talking to media outside Parliament House, Dr. Ramesh Kumar warned that although its an issue between two Muslim states with opposing ideologies but such a behavior may flare up the fire of religious intolerance in the region. "Iran and Saudi Arabia have extreme positions on matter of religious beliefs and both countries are strong enough in their own regional sphere," he said, adding that Pakistan should not intervene in the ongoing tussle under no circumstances. Dr. Ramesh stressed the fact, that though Pakistan has good relation with both countries but none of them has asked assistance from Pakistan, so it will be wise opinion to stay away from such self-created crises. Pakistan has already beard loses of precious lives as a result of such sectarianism, he added. Dr. Ramesh suggested that Government and Pakistani religious scholars should play their role by taking nation into confidence and tell them to stay at peace and calm and do not bring others fire at our home who will result in nothing but hatred and anarchy.
