Islamabad: March 15, 2016. (PCP) Convener World Minorities Alliance Mr. J Salik said that we are still living in the memories of the old English’s slavery and even after 68 years of independence we are mentally slave yet. He said that the fortresses (Kuli) are working under contracting system of the English yet because of the faulty system of railway and facing troubles like slaves. He said that they have no old age benefits, have no free medical facilities or any other facility but they have to pay tax on daily basis either they will earn something or not. He said that we have to establish a welfare state where we can uplift the poor and downtrodden community instead of teasing them. He said that we have to facilitate the fortresses to acknowledge their work and to stop taking daily basis tax from them which is a worst memory of the English.
