Islamabad: May 6, 2016. (PCP) Convener World Minorities Alliance and Organizer Awami Maseeha Party Mr. J Salik offered his prayers of thanks with dwellers of 100 quarters F-6 slum today. J Salik on the occasion addressed and said that with God’s favor and our tireless efforts we have achieved this goal that every house will have its own individual power meter. He said that before this the whole slum was using one power meter which used to be out of order after every few days and residents had to face many troubles but now they will have no issues in this regard. He told that we did our determined efforts to give ownership rights to dwellers twenty years ago but they had no electricity so the dwellers started electricity theft for which police arrested them many times then I put this issue up and WAPDA gave them a single meter for the whole slum which was not enough for the needs of this slum so the meter got defected after every few days and these poor people were being looted in this regard, this blunder was continued for six years. J Salik said that now after 14 years of suffering it became possible to have individual power meter for every house. He said that by the grace of God the work in this regard has been started and it will definitely decrease the problems of slum dwellers.
