Bangkok: December 16, 2016. (PCP) As Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers were under fear and stress after arrest of 45 Christian men, women and children asylum seekers which was televised live by Bangkok Immigration Authorities and Police showing images of children’s crying and women begging for mercy on December 10, 2016, when UN and Human Right bodies were celebrating Universal Declaration of Human Right around globe but these Pakistani Christian asylum seekers were sent to IDC.
UNHCR Bangkok office which pays court fines and bail bonds for arrested Muslim asylum seekers from Syria, Burma, Iraq, Afghanistan and Ahmadiyya community from Pakistan but ignores to help Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers duly registered with UNHCR are arrested and in Detention Center or in Prison from over a year.
Moreover, one Protection officer of UNHCR Bangkok office calls two Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers on December 16, 2016 and threatens them that he will ask Bangkok Police to arrest them and deport them to Pakistan on recording a video about Christian faith which was being challenged by Ahmadiyya community in Toronto, Canada on December 6, 2016.
The Pakistani Christian Diaspora in Canada staged protest and rallied in front of Brampton Center where Ahmadiyya community have announced to hold false preaching on issue of “Jesus in India” on December 6, 2016, and Christian around globe expressed concern on Ahmadiyya conspiracy to damage belief of Christians.
The Christian scholars and Pastors who fled from Pakistan along with thousands of other victims taking refuge in Royal Kingdom of Thailand after persecution in Islamic Republic of Pakistan also expressed their anger on Ahmadiyya community conspiracy in Canada against Christianity and recorded a video to challenge Ahmadiyya leaders to debate on it but UNHCR Bangkok office summoned Christians on recording view point of their faith and threatened them to give them to police and deport to Pakistan.
Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have strongly condemned UNHCR Bangkok office threats of deportation to Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers on issue of video which they recorded as reply on religion grounds to propaganda of Ahmadiyya community in Canada.
Dr. Nazir added “UNHCR Bangkok office behavior towards Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers is contrary to Human Right Charter of UN and Refugee Convention which is serious issue and needs attention of UNHCR Commissioner in Geneva”
There are reports from two years that UNHCR Bangkok office have hired Pakistani Muslim interpreters who wrongfully translate Christian asylum seekers comments during their interviews which provides negative decisions.
Pakistan Christian Congress PCC brought issue to Interpreters in notice of Inspector General of UNHCR in Geneva but no action have been taken so far and UNHCR Bangkok is continuously denying cases of Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers.
