(PCP) Pakistan Christian Congress PCC Central Secretariat have released letter of Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President PCC to Chairman PEMRA to stop broadcasting of “Baji Irshad” a drama serial of Express TV Channel on desecrating Christianity and insulting Christian community of Pakistan. Here are content of letter: The Chairman, PEMRA, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad. Stop broadcasting of “Baji Irshad” a drama serial of Express TV Channel on desecrating Christian teachings and insulting Christian community of Pakistan. Sir, I, the undersigned Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC www.pakistanchristiancongress.org and Editor of Pakistan Christian Post www.pakistanchristianpost.com wish to draw your kind attention on one drama serial broadcasting by Express TV Channel with subject to “ Baji Irshad” is harming sentiments of millions of Pakistani Christians as it portrays negative approach to life style of them and desecrates Christianity. I understand that being a Muslim of Pakistan, your honor not care to abuse or mock Christianity but stand to safeguard blasphemy laws weather any non-Muslim committed or not but as organ of state it is your moral obligation to respect teachings of other religions of citizens of Pakistan and to protect their values which stand with this continent as Islam is religion of immigrants in Pakistan who invaded land of our ancestors which is inherited to us but you have captured. I hope your honor will take immediate action against Express TV and take off air drama serial “Baji Irshad” to approve interfaith harmony and as token of religious freedom in Pakistan. Thanks.
