Lahore: February 1, 2017. (Qaisar Loudhi) On 31 January 2017 National Minority Right Network (NMRN) held a Roundtable meeting in Ambassador Hotel Lahore, in Presided of Sajid Christopher President of Human Friends Organization (HF ). In this meeting Human Rights Awards presented to the human rights activists and members by Mr. Khalil Tahir Sandhu, The Minister for human rights and minorities affairs and Punjab parliamentarians Shahzad Munshi MPA and Kanji Ram MPA on minorities issues, distributed the Awards on the first anniversary of National Minority Rights Network (NMRN). Roundtable meeting of National Minority Rights Network (NMRN) at Ambassador Hotel Lahore on January 31st 2017. Human Rights activists from all over the Punjab province participated in the meeting. Sajid Christopher, Convener National Minority Rights Network presided over the meeting. Minority Issues such as biased education material, hate speeches, census, political participation of religious minorities in the democratic system and minorities rights commission were discussed and recommendations were made to address the issues in this meeting and It was a very result oriented meeting. Awards were presented to Napoleon Qayyum, Professor Anjum Paul, Ramesh Jaipal, Cecil Chaudhary, Peter Jacob, Yousaf Benjamin, Riaz Anjum, Kashif Nemat, Anthony Vernon Emmanuel, Javed Sahotra, Fr. Khuram Shahzada, Katherine Sapna, Sharon Shameer, Sister Genevieve, Khurram Shahzad Maan, Samson Salamat, Samuel Piara and Michelle Chaudhary. On the first anniversary of National Minority Rights Network (NMRN).
