PML Minority leader says Hindus not safe in Sindh

HYDERABAD: June 18, 2017. (By Abbas Kassar) Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Khialdas who belongs to minority Hindu community has criticized Sindh government for not providing protection to Hindus living in province adding that their underage girls were being kidnapped and then married to Muslims after changing their religion by force. He was addressing news conference at press club here on Sunday. He said in Sindh it has been common to kidnap any Hindu girl and then change her faith because the administration from police station to chief minister all have kept mum. Giving example he said recently a Hindu girl Rawti Meghwar was kidnapped and then married to a kidnapper after changing religion on force. He demanded from government to recover the girl to remove unrest from among Hindus. He blasted Sindh culture minister Sardar Ali Shah for his statement that Hindu Gymkhana in Karachi was government property. He said Gymkhana was trust property of Hindus and they would never withdraw proprietary rights of Gymkhana. He asked Sindh government to provide protection to Hindu community.
