Islamabad : January 26, 2007. The Federal Government of Pakistan vide order bearing No. F.11(9)/2000-M has directed the District Coordination Officer Karachi to take necessary immediate action against the illegal construction of shops at Sheldon Boys Secondary School , Bolton Market, Karachi. The orders were passed by the Federal Ministry of Minorities (Minorities Affairs Division) on a Petition filed by the Church Property Bachao Tehrik Pakistan (Save Church Property Movement) through its National Coordinator, Bishop Ijaz Inayat Masih. It has interalia been alleged in the petition that the Sheldon Boys Secondary School situated at Bolton Market Karachi, containing in area 1,128 square yards, having formed the subject of a Confirmatory Deed of Grant dated 2 nd September 1907, in the name/favor of Church Missionary Trust Association Limited was transferred to the Lahore Diocesan Trust Association Limited (now defunct) on 17th April 1956. In the beginning of year 2005, illegally Ten (10) shops were constructed on the said property by Sadiq Daniel and Shahzar Shamoon, purporting to be the officers of Karachi Diocese and the Attorneys of defunct LDTA, on behalf of Alexander John Malik and K. M. Roy, purporting to be the Chairman and General Secretary, respectively of the defunct LDTA. The said shops were later demolished by the Karachi Building Control Authority on the protest and representation of Church Property Bachao Tehrik Pakistan. Over the last years a number of Church properties, mostly left by the Church of England and the Church of Scotland have been fraudulently sold by their so-called Bishops and Attorneys in Pakistan, yet regardless of the constant protest by the members of the Church of Pakistan no action has been taken by the Church authorities. These shops were planned and built to be sold on premium/good-will, whereby major portion of the illegal sale consideration went under the table in the pockets of aforesaid usurpers and a paltry amount was shown in the Church accounts, which tantamount to fraud and premeditated violation of Presidential Ordinance V of 2002 (An ordinance to protect the minority communities properties meant for their communal use).
