Talking on the occasion Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that when PAT comes to power it will assure the constitutional rights and protection assigned to the minorities. Safe guarding the property, livelihood, respect and safety of the minorities will be assured using the firm hand of the law. PAT's government will give full religious independence to the minorities' safe guarding their places of worship.
The PAT chairman further said that those laws which violate! the basic rights of minorities will be changed after thorough consultation with minorities. They will be treated as equal citizens with equal opportunities to employment. PAT leaders Iqbal Mahmood Awan, Khalil-u-Rahman Chisti, Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz and Raja Zahid Mahmood were also present.
