Lahore: August 15, 2018. (PCP) National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism (Catholic Bishops Conference Pakistan) organized an Interfaith Peace Rally in connection with Independence Day 2018 in Lahore.
Fr. Francis Nadeem, the Executive secretary NCIDE, Br. Philip Heera OFM, Fr. Pascal Paulus O.P, Br. Faisal Francis along with a number of Muslims Religious Leaders; Moulana Muhammad Asim Makhdoom, Hafiz Mufti Syed Ashiq Hussain, Dr. Badar Munir, and Qari Shakil Ahamd were also present in this peace rally.
While expressing their views in the rally, the religious leaders showed their unity and promised to continue their struggle for a Peaceful Pakistan.
A good number of children belonging to different religions were present in the rally. The children were shouting the slogans for peace while carrying peace cards and flags. The rally was taken out around the Mini Market, Gulberg, Lahore.
At the end of the peace rally, the peace prayer of St. Francis of Assisi was read together by all the participants.
