All Humans Born Equal for Rights and Advancement. Sooba Bhatti HYDERABAD: December 10, 2018. (By Abbas Kassar) A seminar was held at press club here on Monday with reference to world Human Rights Day under aegis of Human Friends Organization and National Minority Rights Network. Program was largely attended by human rights activists, organizations, lawyers, journalists, religious scholars and members of civil society. Program started with prayers of Bishop Younis Gull after which Sindhi traditional gift Ajraks were adorned to guests of honor. Sooba Bhatti, Pastor Daniel Fayaz, professor Imdad Chandio, professor Mushtaq Mirani, Younis Gull, father Liem, Pirbhoo bhai, advocate Amjad Palijo, professor Badar Soomro,Pushpa Kumari, Ghufrana, M. Parkash, Rufen Wilson addressed the seminar. Speakers said HFO and NMRN were working for human rights in Pakistan to forge unity among all people irrespective of religion, caste or creed and against terrorism, extremism and atrocities against minorities so that peace, democracy and human rights can get advantage in country. They deplored that despite Un charter of HR, the violations continue in whole world, freedoms are being snatched and people were being exploited through religious and sectarian bias. They said minorities in Pakistan were being dragged in false cases, forced conversion, honor killings, hurdles in way of working of HR workers and defenders and kidnapping. They said minorities in Sindh were being made target of injustices, atrocities against their women and girls. They said every citizen has equal rights for which there was need of awareness so that everyone can live life as per his own wish. They demanded from government to take steps to eliminate terrorism, extremism and atrocities against minorities. At the end cake of 70th anniversary of UN charter of human rights was chopped and children presented tableau.
