Lahore: December 22, 2018. (PCP) The National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue & Ecumenism organized an Interreligious Christmas Sports Festival for the students of Muslim Madrisas of Lahore. His Grace Sebastian Francis Shaw OFM, the Archbishop of Lahore was the chief guest of the programme whereas Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap (Executive Secretary
NCIDE) Fr. Inayat Bernard, Moulana Muhammad Asim Makhdoom, Sayed Mufti Ashiq Hussain, Fr. Shahzad Khkher, Fr. Shahzad Khushi and Fr. Faisal Francis participated as the guests of honour.
The purpose of this sports festival was to bring out the God-given talent among these children and share with each other their abilities of team work in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.
On this occasion, while expressing his views, Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw appreciated the efforts of NCIDE to promote Peace and harmony in the country. He encouraged the students to be sensitive to each other and take care of the blessings of God.
Francis Nadeem OFM Cap, in his message also appreciated the participation of these children and congratulated them as they become ambassadors of peace by showing an example of sharing and caring for each other.
During the ceremony, Certificates and Trophies were distributed among all the children.
