MAP held seminar on Christian Discipleship in Asia Today: Service to Life

Mirpurkhas, Sindh: March 21, 2019. (Kanwal Yunas) On Saturday 16th March, 2019 Maktaba Anaveem Pakistan (MAP)-Mirpurkhas group organized a seminar On “Christian Discipleship in Asia Today: Service to Life” at Joti Hall Mirpurkhas.

MAP Mirpurkhas team members received all invited guest & welcomed them. Tableau performed by Mariamabad, Antonia group.

According to Sindhi culture Ajrak gifted to honorable members of MAP-Karachi, Hyderabad.

In the beginning Fr. Jose Harvele prayed for the program. Ms. Usha recited Holy Bible verse (John 13: 1-17) & MAP Anthem Sung by choir group.

A group member presented history MAP-Group Mirpurkhas in which he told that (MAP) group Mirpurkhas started in 2003.Master Nazir Sikandar was the 1st Coordinator of MAP group Mirpurkhas from 2003 to 2007 he delivered his best to gather peopel and motived to achieve MAP goals his 4 years journey. In 2007 Mr. Riaz David MAP group Mirpurkhas joined as a 2nd Coordinator in replacement of Master Nazir Sikandar and still giving services. Today the group is celebrating 16 years journey with thanksgiving.

Ms. Kainaat Arif gave introduction the Speaker Mr. Shamoon Gill from Hyderabad (Sindh).

Mr. Shamoon Gill stared his talk with pray and paid thanks to God for his blessings of MAP 30 years. He also said thanking words to MAP group Mirpurkhas, Parish Priests and specially Mr. Riaz David for having chance to share his views on the topic “Christian Discipleship” in Asia service to life’’. Following contents were briefly discussed: 

•             Christian Discipleship Service to Life

•             Experiencing of Service

•             Jesus Bread of Life

•             New Form of Bread in Asian Context

•             Christian Discipleship in Work & Profession

•             Christian Discipleship Process

•             Facing Challenge of Discipleship in Asia

Participants shared their positive views and congratulated for successful 30 years MAP and 16 years MAP group Mirpurkhas services journey.

Mr. Patras Bhatti (Asst. Chief Coordinator, Sindh, Balochistan) shared his views that the journey of 30 years is completed. I say congrats to all on this occasion. Maktaba Anaveem Pakistan (MAP) has given services of Theology to People. The network of MAP is working in all over Pakistan for promotion of Theology.

Fr. Jim O’Connell (Parish Priest) presented his views and said that i was very happy when Maktaba Anaveem Pakistan (MAP) started so that people can achieve maximum opportunities for Theological learning. Many groups created and dismantled but MAP is only the group which is still alive. This is a strong group in Mirpurkhas. MAP has given chance to people come forward and gets successes in their lives. I am very thankful to Mr. Riaz David for his honesty and hard work.

For celebration 30 year’s Services of MAP cake cut by honorable guests all Coordinators from Karachi and all Parish Priest. 16 year’s Services MAP-Mirpurkhas celebration cake cut by former and present Members MAP group Mirpurkhas.

A book stall was set up to sale, in which 18 books sold for Rs. 730/-

At last Mr. Riaz David (Coordinator MAP-Mirpurkhas) thanked to all respectable guests from Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Choir Group, Heerabad group, Antonia Group, Najma Samson group, St Michael’s School Teachers, Pastoral team, Rev. Fr. Jim O’Connell, Rev. Fr. William, and MAP group Mirpurkhas Team for their precious time and presence.

A total number of 126, male and female Participants attended this Program.
