Lahore: August 10, 2019. (PCP) Rwadari Tehreek Pakistan and Implementation Minority Rights Forum along with other civil society organizations held a solidarity camp on August 8, 2019 in front of Punjab Assembly to express solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to condemn the human rights violations committed under the umbrella of the state apparatus of India.

The participants of the solidarity camp who belonged to different faiths and religions chanted slogans against the Indian atrocities against the innocent people of Jammu & Kashmir and expressed their togetherness with Kashmiri brothers, sisters and children.

Chairman Rwadari Tehreek Mr. Samson Salamat while addressing the solidarity camp said that “the international community should turn their attention towards severe and serious human rights abuses happening against the people of Jammu and Kashmir after the Indian Government announced to revoke Article 370 of the Indian Constitution which granted a level of autonomy to the region, giving the right to form its own laws and also prevented outsiders to buying property in Kashmir”.

“Consistent curfew in Jammu and Kashmir and halting of communication means has created a server humanitarian crisis which will damage the rights of the most marginalized segments, especially women and children. Therefore, we appeal that the Indian Government must reconsider its decision and restore Article 370, immediately end curfew and restore all means of communication” Mr. Samson Salamat added.

Chairman Implementation Minority Rights Forum Mr. Samul Payara appealed Indian and Pakistan Government to refrain from War and start dialogue on Kashmir and all other disputed issues and the Kashmir issue should be resolved as per United Nations resolutions.
