Shadab Khokhar presents memorandum to Premier of Ontario province of Canada to save Lords, s Prayer.

Brampton; March 31, 2008. The leaders of International Christian AWAZ presented a petition to Premier Dalton McGuinty of Ontario to save Lord, s Prayer that has been removed from the daily opening of legislature. According to Guardian report, Shahdab Khokhar presented petition on Wednesday along with leaders and members of AWAZ, who traveled to from Brampton to protest on removal of prayer. The International Christian Awaz, presented memorandum signed by 200 people. "The group leader, Shadab Khokhar worked with Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Frank Klees in combined effort to save the prayer in the legislature" Guardian reports. Meanwhile in a press release, International Christian Awaz leaders Shadab Khokhar Samson Marcus and Anita Barnabas said, "The residents of Ontario acknowledge the multicultural diversity of the province but to eliminate such important and spiritual traditions, such as the Lord's Prayer would definitely work against the principle of inclusiveness" Shadab Khokhar added, "Multiculturalism or the influx of immigrants in Canada does not translate into changing century old traditions and practices, which are rooted into the faith of the founding fathers of the nation. The choice or wish of the Immigrants to Canada is not to change Canada but to merge and integrate into the rich fabric of their new home land" The Lord's Prayers were decided to be removed as opening of session of house of provincial assembly of Ontario in February 2008.
