A Christian family under attack in Sargodha on alleged blasphemy charges

Sargodha: (By Dr. Adil Ghouri) Both brothers Lazar Masih and Sultan Masih are residents of Mujahid Colony, Sargodha, who have their own shoe factory in the same area. On May 25, some religious extremists accused him of desecrating the Holy Quran by burning it.Instead of handing over the accused to the police, announcements were made through the loudspeakers of the mosques and the crowd was gathered .A mob consisting of religious fanatics set fire to his house and factory. 

Not only this, Lazarus killed at the spot by inflicting great physical violence. Protesters wanted to burn Sultan Masih alive but the police managed to rescue. Sultan Masih has been shifted to an undisclosed safe place under police supervision. There is a lot of panic in the area and many Christians have left their homes and gone to safer places. 

No case has yet been registered against those who killed lazar Masih. Sargodha is one of the areas of Pakistan where extreme fanaticism is found. The offices of many jihadi organizations are operating in this district. Before the Jariwala tragedy, five blasphemy cases were registered against Christians in the same city within two
