Lahore, Pakistan: (By Sardar Mushtaq Gill) LEAD Ministries, a leading organization dedicated to promoting peace and justice, has called on the Pakistani government to take swift action against individuals flaunting both licensed and illegal weapons in public and using social media platforms to spread fear. The organization’s appeal follows alarming incidents in which people have posted disturbing videos and images online, showing themselves with weapons and inciting terror in the community.

In a statement issued today, Sardar Mushtaq Gill, Founder of LEAD Ministries, voiced grave concerns over the impact of such actions on public safety, urging authorities to intervene immediately. The organization stressed that these activities not only breach the law but also create widespread panic among citizens.

“These individuals are publicly displaying weapons—some legally obtained, others unlicensed—while using social media to intimidate and frighten the public,” said Sardar Mushtaq Gill. “This is not merely a legal violation; it is a direct threat to our community’s peace and safety. We urge the government to act decisively to prevent further escalation.”

The Role of Social Media in Spreading Terror

LEAD Ministries also highlighted the increasing role of social media in fueling fear and violence. While social media platforms are valuable communication tools, the organization pointed out that they are being exploited for criminal purposes, such as the glorification of violence and the spread of intimidation. The disturbing videos have been widely circulated, heightening anxiety and unrest.

“These individuals are manipulating the power of social media to promote fear and violence,” Sardar Mushtaq Gill added. “This is not only illegal, but it also undermines the social cohesion of our country. We urge law enforcement to investigate these accounts and take the necessary actions to prevent further harm.”

Public Response and Support for LEAD Ministries’ Appeal

LEAD Ministries' appeal has garnered strong support from various sectors of society. Citizens, especially in major urban centers like Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad, have expressed deep concern about the increasing use of social media to spread fear and violence. Many are calling for stricter penalties for those involved.

“It’s terrifying to see these videos circulating online. You never know who is carrying a weapon or what they might do next,” said a resident of Lahore. “The government needs to take immediate action to end this kind of terror.”

Community leaders have also expressed support, recognizing the importance of a swift government response to curb the issue before it worsens.

As Pakistan grapples with growing concerns about public safety and the misuse of social media to incite fear, LEAD Ministries’ call for government intervention underscores the urgency of the situation. With tensions rising and fear mounting among the public, citizens are hoping for prompt action from authorities to restore peace and prevent social media from becoming a tool for terror.
