Islamabad: September 20, 2008. (PCP) Shahbaz Bhatti, selected MNA by PPP on reserved Christian seats in National Assembly of Pakistan is safe and sound in Islamabad after bomb blast in Hotel Marriott, which killed more than 60 and injured hundreds. The Christians in Pakistan were concerned about Safety of Shahbaz Bhatti who is staying in Marriott Hotel from years according to our correspondent in Pakistan while other three nominated Members of National Assembly have seldom stepped in this expensive hotel nor after selection or earlier. Ferhan Mazher, Chairman of ROD, told our correspondent that as he heard the news of blast in Marriott Islamabad, the next second he dialed Bhatti's cell phone number, which was not responding. Then he immediately contacted MPA Punjab, zonal coordinator APMA Tahir Naveed Chaudary, who gave the news that Shahbaz Bhatti is safe and sound. Tahir said that he has talked to Shahbaz Bhatti after the blast. PCP sources add that as the news of bomb blast in Marriott came on-air, all the Christians and other minority communities of Pakistan were in shock and despair, because the Marriott hotel is the place where Shahbaz Bhatti is residing for last few years. Most of Bhatti's meetings with local and foreigners are arranged in Marriott Islamabad.
