Philadelphia: October 19, 2008. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, Chief of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC, demanded Pakistan Peoples Party PPP government to nominate Shahbaz Bhatti in the list of forthcoming new cabinet ministers as it selected him on reserved seats of minorities for National Assembly of Pakistan. The loyalties of Shahbaz Bhatti are undoubtedly more to PPP than Christians in Pakistan and he deserves portfolio of Minster for Minority Affairs in Gillani-Zardari government. Nazir Bhatti said, “PPP is not following path selected by Martyr Benazir Bhutto for betterment for Christians and pull them in mainstream politics by allocation of Dual Voting rights” “Pakistani Christian reject all selected Christians for National Assembly of Pakistan, Sindh Assembly, Punjab Assembly, NWFP Assembly and Balochistan Assembly weather nominated by PPP, PML (N), PML (Q), MQM, MMA or ANP because selection and imposition of representation is undemocratic” added Nazir Bhatti PCC and all other Christian groups have demanded right to elect their representation by their votes instead of selection by Muslim political groups. Christians of Pakistan have demanded increase in their seats in National Assembly and allocation of seats in Senate of Pakistan but present government have never duly considered. PCC demands 18% of seats in parliament under Dual Voting system, the right being exercised by Muslims of Azad Kashmir under Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan of 1973. Nazir Bhatti said, “True faces of selected Christian puppet leaders shall soon be unveiled by their actions”
