The incident of drunken creating unrest in a Lahore cinema was broadcasted by media and without any enquiry Jaffer George was sacked by Balochistan Chief Minister in a press note. Lahore is capital of Punjab province and on hours drive from Quetta city of Balochistan where Jaffer George resides and was selected by PPP on reserved seats of Christians in Balochistan assembly. According to PCP sources in Lahore, Alfalah Theatre on Nisbat Road Lahore is owned by an influential Muslim where staff usually misbehaves with patrons. PCP sources revealed that when Jaffer George reached to Alfalah Cinema he requested staff to arrange for him seat in VIP area which is allocated to all Muslim members of Punjab Assembly and other dignitaries but when Jaffer George introduced himself that he is Christian and a minister in Balochistan province, the cinema staff disrespected him and said “no special or gallery seat for any Chorra“ In Punjab province word “Chorra“ is used for Christians, which is derogatory word based on hate due to religion. There were harsh argument among Muslim manager and Jaffer George on word “Chorra“ on which manager called the all Muslim staff of cinema and started beating a Christian member of Balochistan Assembly and a minister in Nawab Raisani cabinet. The cinema manager called Qila Gujjar Singh Police and accused him of creating uproar in theatre and used his drunken position to lodge case and arrest him with his friends in Lahore. It seems strange that Chief Minister of Balochistan takes notice of media reports and sacks Jaffer George from post of minister without any enquiry or meeting with his Christian cabinet member.
