One Pakistani Christian killed dozens injured in Muslim mob attack in Punjab

Multan: October 7, 2011. (PCP) Muslims armed with lethal weapons attacked Christians to grab a piece of land bought for a Social Project

in village Chak Number 134/16-L, in sub-district Mian Channu of District Khanewal in Southern Punjab. On evening of October 5, 2011, Muslim land mafia tools came to village 134/16, which is marked as Christian village in NADRA of Pakistan discriminatory opened fire on Christians. Sabir Masih was gunned down on sport while more than two dozen Christians including children, men and women were seriously injured who were rushed to Civil Hospital Mian Channu city. The seriously injured Christians were moved to District Hospital Kanewal and Multan city. According to Asianews, the piece of land was purchased by a local Church with very small congregation for Orphanage Center which was liked by local influential Muslim landlord who hired gangs of Muslims to use force to grab this land. Mr. Khalid Gill, Chief Organizer of APMA, talking to PCP told that one Muslim family in village instigated other area Muslims to grab this land for him which turned into violence. Meanwhile, Pakistan Christian Congress PCC, All Pakistan Minority Alliance APMA, Mission and action for Social Services MASS and Masiha Millat Party Pakistan Condemned this attacked and demanded arrest of killers. The First Information Report FIR was not registered with police station till filing this story as Muslims were pressing upon police to register case of riots among two communities instead of attack of Muslims and killing of Sabir Masih.
