Pakistani Christian in Holland presented memorandum during peaceful protest against Murree and Taxila incidents. PCP report by Watson Gill and Samson Shahzad.
22 Aug 2002
Hague. August 21. The Pakistani Christians living in Holland in a peaceful protest procession marched to the Pakistan embassy and presented a memorandum to the ambassador of Pakistan Holland to lodge their protest on the killings of Christian worship
Its very important and unique protest staged by the Pakistani Christians in Holland that they observed the Independence Day of Pakistan as the Black Day in Holland on August 14. To mark the protest against the laws turning them to be second-class citizens in the state.
The Pakistan Christians vowed that they should not stop their struggle until the government of Pakistan does not restore the constitutional rights of Christians in practice.
Its important that Pakistani Christians in Holland protest was the second in the wave of the protest against these terrorist attacks on Christian churches after the protest staged by the Pakistani Christians in New York before the United Nation Offices.
Where as the London Pakistani Christians postponed their protest after the long discussions to give free hand to General Parvez Mushraf on these killings of Christians in Pakistan on the efforts of the government to curb terrorism and active role in the war against terrorism.
Its amazing that so called All Pakistan Minorities Alliance counter part in Sindh, The Minorities Tehreek, also announced the protest against these killings by protest on Karachi and Hyderabad Press Club but same was turned to be the press conference and Leaders of APMA came in press conference with the leaders of PPP and MQM to seek support of these Muslim political parties in the forthcoming elections for their candidates nominations on Christian reserved seats in parliament which after 18 years are going to be held on demand of these elements when the Christians shall caste their votes for Muslim candidates and on the floor of house these Muslim political members shall select the Christian members in the house.
The only protest against these killings of innocent Christian's worshipers was organized by J, Salik in Islamabad unless all other leaders are silent on these terrorist attacks on Christians in Pakistan.
