Mr. Bhatti said that slogan of joint elections to bring minorities in the mainstream of life, as equal citizen was only to deceive the minorities and capture their vote bank only. Now Muslim leaders are bargaining for large amount of sums of money for the selection of reserved seats in parliament because the selection depends on the Muslim political parties in the parliament. He added that by a conspiracy of Muslim feudal lords, Hindu landlords in sindh and some Christian clergy elements the rights of election of minority representation by the votes of minority communities under separate election system have been snatched to make the Christian minority voiceless in Pakistan by the government of Pakistan. Mr. Bhatti expressed his views on telephone address to the PCC workers gathered in Lahore office of PCC council today. Mr. Nazir S Bhatti said that PCC leaders and workers shall continue to demand the separate election system for minorities in Pakistan and condemned the attitude of PPP, MQM, ML, ANP and other Muslim political parties have confirmed their vows that Muslim political parties have no programme and concerns for the minorities uplift in Pakistan and they have duly proved by not issuing party ticket to any minority member on general seats in these elections under joint elections when they were not bared to do so and it was proper time for them to prove their sincerity toward minorities. Mr. Nazir s Bhatti in his address said This is selection of minority candidates on the choice of majority political parties to impose the leadership of their choice on Christian under joint elections and these selected representatives of Christians shall be slaves of these Muslim parties not the leaders of Christians to raise voice for minorities in the house of parliament. Mr. Nazir S Bhatti urged Christians to drive campaign for the dual voting rights under separate electorate to aware the Christians of this conspiracy of joint elections to select their representation.
