Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri began his talk by reciting from the Holy Bible. He emphasized on the fact that the Bible in his hand was his personal copy, every page of which is full of study notes which he made over thirty years ago when he carried out a comprehensive study of the Holy Bible. He said that the time when all those guilty of planting bombs in churches will be brought to justice is very near. "Our Christian brothers and sisters played an equally important role in the formation of Pakistan as the Muslims did. They have every right over Pakistan as the Muslims do". The lives, property and respect of Christians are as holy as those of Muslims. The PAT chairman emphasized that we must all work together to uproot differences and hatred to make Pakistan a fortress of peace. In order to eliminate oppression we must put an end to terrorism. When in power PAT will set up a healthy society. "I will parade Muslim scholars and Christian priests hand in hand on Mall Road. My message to you is nothing other than that of peace and harmony. Commenting on discriminatory laws, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that when in power PAT will repeal all such laws. "No matter how God fearing any Muslim is, he is not a Muslim if he does not believe in Jesus Christ. It would be a great honour for me to crown the shoes of Jesus Christ on his head. On the occasion he announced free medical treatment for Christians below the poverty line at the Minhaj-ul-Quran Hospital in Township. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri welcomed the peace delegation from Norway headed by Dr Oral Edwerson, and praised their efforts. He stood hand in hand with Dr Edwerson to show mutual unity. Dr Edweson is a citizen of Norway and is a personal friend of Yasser Arafat the Palistinian leader. He preaches to over 30 million people world wide on satellite, daily and has over 20,000students. Dr Oral Edweson, whilst addressing the mammoth gathering said that a political leader like Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri is the blessing of God and Jesus Christ, for the whole world.
