On Dec. 22, 2003 there was a peace march in the holy city of Jerusalem in which religious leaders, political leaders, NGOs, students and other social representatives from 50 nations of the world gathered along with the Israeli and Palestine citizens,

The Peace March began at the Zion Gate of the Western Wall of the wall which surrounds the ancient and holy city of Jerusalem. It then proceeded to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the site of Jesus Tomb from which he ascended into Heaven. From there they marched to the Wailing Wall, which is the site where the Temple stood, and from there the march continued to the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, the site from which Mohammed ascended into Heaven. This is very Holy Ground from which the children of Abraham; Christians, Jews, and Muslims have some their holiest sites. In America the efforts for this rally began by having many prayer meetings, luncheons and dinners sponsored by the American Leadership Conference (ACLC), by which Christian leaders first organized. Under the direction of Rev. Sun Myung Moon, the ministers then reached out to embrace Muslim and Jewish leaders in order to make a concerted efforts to begin praying for and taking action towards the establishment of world peace. On the foundation of such unity, as an offering before heaven, the hope is that we may create sufficient unity to allow our Heavenly Father to shed His Spirit amongst us, and specifically the Children of Abraham, whose seed holds the promise for the coming Kingdom of God. The Muslims, Christians and Jews will be the base upon which Buddhists, Hindus, Confucianists, Sikhs, Jains and all the religions of the world will reconcile. This process holds the hope to create the necessary foundations towards the establishment of world peace. These are the main ideas which have guided these efforts. Rev. Chang Shik Yang, chairman of the rally said "We have respect for each of the various faiths. Rev. Moon is working beyond all denominations for world peace." Rev. Jenkins, the chairman of the IIFWP USA said: "Today Jesus will be welcomed by his family and honored by his people. This will remove the curse that has divided the children of God. On this foundation, in the midst of tears we will reconcile Christians and Jews and representing Isaac we will bow with respect and love for our brother Ishmael as Jacob bowed before Esau and as with the time of Jacob the brothers will weep and reconcile. All bloodshed will finally come to and end. The new covenant of God is now with a new Chosen people of every race, every people, every nation and every tongue". Rev. Chung Hwan Kwak, Chairman of the IIFWP and the Interreligious and International Peace Council, said: "We should break down all boundaries that divide people, we should live together in mutual respect and cooperation." The leaders of the rally, Christians, Muslims, and Jews, then traveled to Gaza, where they met with representatives of Yassir Arafat, to in order to demonstrate the deep love, and express sincere sorrow for the pain and sadness created by the violence in the Middle East. It is the reconciliation of the Children of Abraham, upon which the light of Heaven will shine, which will begin to usher in the new age. Preceding the Peace March and rally about 3000 religious leaders participated in a pilgrimage throughout Israel. They visited Capernaum, Nazareth, were baptized in the Jordan River, visited The Sea of Galilee, The Dead Sea, Bethlehem, The Tomb of David, The Garden of Gethsemane, and many other holy sites. More such pilgrimages and peace marches will be held in the future. This was the fourth such pilgrimage held in 2003.
