MP Baig says that Kashmiri youth may join ISIS if unrest continues. By Hem Raj Jain

Regarding Jihadi / ISIS factor, during TV interview the PDP Member of Parliament (MP) from Kashmir Muzaffar Hussain Baig has rightly expressed his fear that (i)- As in fight between USSR and USA (West) during cold war, the young generation of Pakistan and Afghanistan got converted in Jihadi terrorists. Similarly in fight between India and Pakistan the young generation of Kashmir may also become Jihadi terrorists if Kashmir problem is not solved without any further delay. (ii)- There is one more danger that the situation may worsen to the extent that these Kashmiri Jihadi youth may even join ISIS if ongoing unrest continues in Kashmir.
Government of India (GOI) has still not realized the gravity of the situation. On Wednesday J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was shown on a TV Chanel complaining that Kashmiri youth are being asked by religious leaders in Masjids to carry out protests. But GOI naively believes that it is merely cross border Pakistan sponsored violent protests (by stone pelting) & separatism which is going on in Kashmir without understanding that it is much more powerful Islam sponsored homegrown protest and separatism and which may ultimately lead to foothold of ISIS in Kashmir.
GOI is also deluded by various Islamic leaders in India who say that they are the best guarantee against entry of ISIS in India. But GOI does not understand that in Iraq, Syria etc the ISIS (which commits horrible atrocities on the people including against children, women and old people) exists with the condone if not the complicity of Islamic religious leaders who control the Masjids in those areas and where on every Friday the Jihadi terrorists of ISIS go for Namaz. Therefore people should not be surprised if religious leaders of Masjids in Kashmir also may condone if not be complicit in case ISIS starts getting foothold in Kashmir (as MP Baig fears).
GOI also does not understand that it is unnecessarily playing with fire by out-rightly discarding repeated reminders of the politicians of all the parties in Kashmir about present unrest in valley being a political problem (as was again repeated in Wednesday’s meeting chaired by former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah of all the opposition political parties of Kashmir valley) . When GOI refuses to talk to Pakistan even for the retrieve of PoJK then it indirectly says that there is no political problem (even if PoJK remains with Pakistan notwithstanding GOI’s hollow statements that PoJK is an integral part of India). This insensitivity of GOI towards Kashmir problem has very high potential of alienating even main stream politicians of Kashmir valley on whose participation in election process gives tremendous propaganda advantage to India vis-a-vis Pakistan.
But PM Modi has again spoken about Baluchistan and has not given any road map for retrieving PoJK in his Independence Day speech from Red Fort. Hence the diplomats also of all the countries in India should keep a close watch over the developments which will take place in India about Indo-Pak matter so that the mankind in this region can be spared from total destruction as explained at :-
