One Day Capacity Building Workshop on Space Science and Technology Held at GGSCW-26

Chandigarh: February 28, 2019. (PCP) The Science Department of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector-26, Chandigarh organized a One Day Capacity Building Workshop on ‘Space Science and Technology’ under the aegis of RUSA on February 28th, 2019.

The Resource Person for the occasion was Dr. Sahijpal, Professor, Department of Physics, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The main aim of the workshop was to apprise the participants of the basic concepts and recent developments in Space Science and India’s contribution in this field. Dr Sahijpal guided the students regarding various career options in Astrophysics and Astronomy.

Dr Ashok Sharma, Professor, Department of Physics, Panjab University, Chandigarh was the resource person for the 2nd session of the workshop. He conducted various science related creative activities.

Around 140 participants took part in the workshop which included students and faculty members from different colleges.
