New Delhi: August 7, 2019. (PCP) Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party & Sr. Executive Member of Supreme Court Bar Association of India expressed deep shock on the sudden death of Sushma Swaraj former Foreign Minister of India and distinguished revolutionary who started her career from her student life as a socialist democrat and contributed to the well fare of the people of India in many capacities.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that Mrs. Sushma Swaraj as a leader of BJP campaigned for him (Bhim Singh) in Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency where Bhim Singh was contesting as a Panthers Party Candidate and BJP was supporting him. He said that it was Sushma Swaraj who campaigned for him in Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency in 1988. It was she, Bhim Singh said, who supported the Kashmiri Migrants who were forcibly thrown out of their homes from Kashmir Valley. She was a great source of encouragement to the Kashmiri Migrants who were received in Delhi by Mrs. Sushma Swaraj at Parliamentary Meeting Hall in Delhi.
Prof. Bhim Singh said that she was a great lawyer who served the poor and needed for years representing them in the High Court and Supreme Court.
Prof. Bhim Singh in a condolence message expressed sympathies with the family members of Mrs. Sushma Swaraj while adding. In 1973, Swaraj started practice as an advocate in the Supreme Court of India. She began her political career with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in the 1970s. Her husband, Swaraj Kaushal, was closely associated with the socialist leader George Fernandes and Sushma Swaraj became a part of George Fernandes's legal defense team in 1975. She actively participated in Jayaprakash Narayan’s Total Revolution Movement. After the Emergency, she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Later, she became a national leader and performed from the platform as a National leader of the BJP.
