High Court and District Bars condemn threats of life, liberty to Advocate Habibullah Khan

HYDERABAD: September 5, 2019. (By Abbas Kassar) Hyderabad High Court Bar Association and District Bar Association have vehemently condemned threats of life and liberty to a learned advocate Habibullah Khan by unknown notorious persons who had issued threat of death and dire consequences to him and his all family members.

In this regard HCBA Hyderabad held detailed discussion against death threats to Habibullah Khan on 28-08-2019 under chair of HCBA president Nisar Ahmed Durrani and “resolved that entire legal fraternity stands with our brother advocate Habibullah Khan along with his family members and demanded from higher authorities for protection of their lives as well as take serious/stern action against the culprit who had harassed and issued threats of death and dire consequences through sending a letter to advocate Habibullah Khan.

Similarly an urgent meeting of executive committee of District Bar Association Hyderabad on 29 August 2019 which was chaired by president Imdadullah Unar to take serious notice of such threats to Habibullah Khan advocate and condemned such illegal, unlawful act of threats of life  by unknown notorious persons. Resolving to stand with brother Habibullah Khan advocate and his family, demanded from higher authorities to take stern action against culprit who had issued threats of death and dire consequences to him and his family.

It may be mentioned here that Habibullah Khan advocate is human rights activist and defender and also writes articles in various media outlet against human rights violations especially in Sindh where girls from minority communities are kidnapped, forcibly converted religiously and married under duress to Muslim men.
