Mr. Farhan Butt awarded with Gusi and Nigerian Peace Awards

Lahore: Farhan Wilayat Butt a Pakistani Philanthropist, Social Activist, Interfaith Harmonizer from Lahore, Pakistan received international acclamation on his humanitarian projects and interfaith activities.

In recognition of 10 years of services for raising voice for the rights and protection of religious minorities in Pakistan, as well as, to reduce religious extremism, racial intolerance and sectarian violence; Power & Evangelical Global Outreach Ministry of Nigeria and Transformed Youth Networks of West Africa awarded Farhan Wilayat Butt with Nigerian Peace Award. In order to create peace and understanding between Pakistani people (besides their religious differences), Farhan Wilayat Butt arranges peace tours to the different religious/ sacred areas (related to different faiths and religions), interviews of prominent minority figures of Pakistan (associated with different fields and professions) and short theater performances in order to create unity and brotherhood among all Pakistani people.

Farhan Wilayat Butt achieved Gusi Peace Prize (internationally recognized as Asia's Nobel Prize counterpart) in a ceremony at the Philippine International Convention Center (Manila, Philippines) upon successful completion of Sindh Water Relief Project (a charity project founded by him for arrangement of clean drinking water for underprivileged and marginalized communities residing in the desert areas of Tharparkar (Sindh) through more than 100 water wells, hand pumps, summer pumps and solar pumps).
