New Delhi: October 15, 2015. (PCP) Prof.Bhim Singh, Chairman of Indo-Palestine Friendship Society and expert on Indo-Arab relations expressed surprise on the continued silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the treatment the President of India Shri Pranab Kumar Mukherjee was given at the International Airport of Israel at Tel-Aviv last week. The Israeli authority banned the entry of four communication systems that President of India was carrying with him to present as gift to the Al-Aqsa University at Ram Allah, Palestine. Prof.Bhim Singh a student of International Law regretted that Govt. of India failed to lodge a protest against the Govt. of Israel which has been in illegal occupation of Palestine since 1967. Prof.Bhim Singh said that Oslo Agreement signed between PLO Chief, Yasir Arafat and Israeli Prime Minister Shiron Pere signed at the White House the presence of US President declaring Palestine as independent state has a sovereign entity and its borders cannot be manned by a foreign country, Israel. Prof.Bhim Singh said that an International Airport was set up in Gaza immediately signing of Oslo Agreement in Palestine. He said that he himself visited Palestine on the invitation of its President Yasir Arafat in 1995 by an international flight from Amman to Gaza in Palestine. Israel has destroyed Gaza Airport in violation of International Laws and commitment. Israel has no authority to interfere with the movement of goods/machinery/or any other item brought from a friendly country. Banning four satellite systems being taken by the head of the state to be gifted to Al-Aqsa University, Palestine amounts to interfering with diplomatic community and insult to India when the President of India was not allowed to carry four gifts brought for Palestinian University. Prof.Bhim Singh expressed great surprise on the silence of the ‘great Indian media’ in the Indian press. Had it been done in respect of any other head of the state by another country, what shall have been the reaction from the Indian media and the Indian government. Prof.Bhim Singh declared that he shall launch a world-wide campaign against the authoritarian and unlawful action of the government of Israel.
