Mandi Bahauddin: (Sher Gondal) Ex-servicemen gathered here at Camp Office DASB to celebrate 6 September as National Day to commemorate in memory the sacrifices of jawans and officers who fought and repulsed the Indian attacks on our homeland.

While addressing the function local leaders of Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS) paid tributes to Pakistan Armed Forces for their never-ending sacrifices in defence of the motherland.

They said in presence of our armed forces there is no power on earth to undo Pakistan. Referring to 1965 war, they said Indian forces treacherously attacked Lahore border to occupy Lahore.

Our forces five thousand strong defeated enemy forces that comprised forty thousand and thus India had to eat dust. Still, the officers and jawans of our armed forces are engaged in fighting the eternal and external our enemies and every day they are laying down their lives for the stability and defence of the country.

The ex-servicemen reviewed their pledge and vowed to stand with the armed forces whenever and wherever their services are required. Later they took out rally amid security arrangement by local police. The participants raised slogans Pakistan armed forces Zindabad, Punjab police Zindabad, Pakistan Zindabad.

The event was organized by PESS Mandi Bahauddin. Sweets were distributed among the participants.
