All India Forum of Muslim Journalists express grief on demise of Edhi

CHENNAI: July 9, 2016. (PCP) The All India Forum of Muslim Journalists places on record its deep sense of sorrow at the demise of a most eminent, most beloved and most revered Pakistani Qadime Ummah, the Founder of EDHI FOUNDATION, al-haj Abdus Sathar Edhi Saheb [Rahmatullah alaih] - the rarest of rare social activist, humanitarian, philanthropist Angel of Compassion. Hundreds of pages can be written about his yeoman services to the neglected privileged. The barest minimum which can be-nay, ought to be - done by the Government of Pakistan is to award him, posthumously, the highest National Award – the “NISHAAN-E-PAKISTAN” and we, Muslims in India [which was once his Motherland] can and should do is offer salaathul JANAZAH [funeral prayer in absentia] and invoke the Blessings of Allah Subhanathallah for his maghfirath [residence in the Garden of Perpetual Bliss.
