Chandigarh: November 4, 2016. (PCP) A Polio Awareness Drive was organized at Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector-26, Chandigarh, by the Rotaract Club of Life Turners in collaboration with the Rotary Club Chandigarh Mid Town. The students had prepared various banners, posters and speeches for the event. Mr. Puri, a senior member of the Rotary Chandigarh addressed the students and threw light on the causes and precautions of the disease.
Mr Sundeep Singh Sawhney, Director, Youth Services Chandigarh motivated the students to come forward for the noble cause and maintain India’s polio free nation status.
The Principal of the college, Dr. Charanjeet Kaur Sohi, encouraged the students to become pioneers of social service ad also gave a vote of thanks to the rotary club members for helping initiate such an event at the college premises.
