Srinagar: April 16, 2009. (PCP) Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League chairman Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob in a statement said that the shame parliamentary elections in Kashmir is no way a substitute for resolution of Kashmir, neither they can be equated with referendum nor plebiscite. United Nations Resolutions have the validity and Peoples League believes that the resolution of UNSC must be implemented in totality, Sheikh Yaqoob said. He urged upon senior leaders and workers of Peoples League to work unitedly with dedicatedly and devotion for the pious cause (freedom of Jammu Kashmir). He maintained that Peoples League believes in the fact that APHC constitution and the basic doctrines must be supported at all levels and his party is meant to strengthen the conglomerate for the wider cause – a bonafide umbrella to safeguard the sentiments of common people (Kashmiris) . Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Abdul Gani Lone has given sacrifice for the freedom of Kashmir and I believe that Mr. Sajad Lone will protect the honour of his father’s martyrdom and will rejoin pro-freedom camp, and added that unaccomplished mission of martyrs shall be continued till to its logical end, Sheikh Yaqoob said. While expressing serious concern over the human rights violations rendered by Indian armed forces, who have been deputed in Jammu Kashmir with a ratio of 1:6 and are meant to silence the genuine voice of naïve Kashmiris but history is witness to the fact that all tyrants have failed to kill the resolute of Kashmiris, and impressed upon international human right organizations to send a fact finding mission to Kashmir to enquire about the plight of detainees, Sheikh Yaqoob said.
