JUI concerned on Power outage in Sindh. Senator Khalid Soomro

LARKANA: April 24, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Jamiat-Ul-Ulmai Islam (JUI) Secretary General Sindh Senator Dr. Khalid Mehmood Soomro has expressed concern over the undeclared prolonged power outage all over Sindh. He said this in his press statement on Thursday. Senator said that he has held meeting with federal minister for Water and Power Raja Pervez Ashraf regarding the prevailing WAPDA HESCO load shedding situation in Sindh, he said the minister was apprised about the concern grievances of the public on the occasion. He said the citizens of Larkana is under target of WAPDA authorities, so that the follows of dictator Mushraf regime is hatching the conspiracy against the democratic government and trying to destabilize political system in the country. Dr. Soomro disclosed that such corrupt officers of WAPDA are identified as a black sheep in the department; they must be removed immediately for the sake of WAPDA. Federal Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf promised with Senator Dr. Khalid Mehmood Soomro that the load shedding in Larkana will not be carried out in future and the Larkana will be calculated as the city of lights he said. – All Pakistan Clerks Association Larkana (APCA) Larkana chapter took out protest rally for acceptance of their demands and removal of corrupt officials of Population department here on Thursday. The rally led by district President APCA Mohammad Farooq Jalbani, Mohammed Peeral Dayo, Sabir Soomro and others. The rally marched through various routes and culminated at Larkana Press Club. The APCA Workers and their leaders were continue chanting slogans against the government to meet their legal demands. On the occasion, APCA leaders said that Sindh Government is treating the employees like step mother and rights of poor employees are denied, they said the government distributing the jobs on political basis whereas, the heirs of employees were neglected they said. They demanded from government to regularize all temporary and contract employees, restoration of the employees of son Quota as well as release withheld salaries and issue the relief to the poor. The rally was attended by Mumtaz Ali Khaskheli, Ayaz Hussain Kalhoro, Naseemullah Kalhoro, Miskeen Ali Bhutto and others.
