Srinagar: April 28, 2009. (PCP) Chairman Jammu Kashmir Peoples League Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob in a statement said that the people of Kashmir totally reject India’s polls process neither these sham elections could resolve the Kashmir tangle in the past nor it will change the nature of the dispute. Sheikh Yaqoob reposed full trust upon the dynamic leadership of chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Moulvi Mohammad Umer Farooq along with the capacious constituents of pro-freedom amalgam or their representatives. It is only APHC which represents the sentiments, wishes, desires and aspirations of the naïve Kashmiris and upholds the mission of martyrs. The martyrs of Kashmir are our sacred assets and their mission shall be continued till the logical conclusion, there is no doubt about it, Yaqoob said. Sheikh maintained that elections could not be a substitute of Kashmiris Right to Self-determination and urged upon the international community to play its role in bringing about a just settlement of the Kashmir dispute.
