47% Pakistani women have not entered in any educational institute in life.

LARKANA: June 4, 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) There are 57 literate women against the 100 men in Pakistan, while about 47 women are illiterate and they had not seen any educational institutions in a life. This was disclosed in a day Seminar on “The Education of Girls” here at the remote area of Ratodero district by the participants of Kainat Social Welfare Organization Bunguldero. On the occasion Syed Arshad Ali Bukhair the General Secretary of NGOs Coordination Council said that we are much away of the Millennium Development Goal objectives set internationally as the Pakistan would also achieve minimum 90 percent literacy rate in the education of girls till the 2015. He said free education and increasing the literacy rate in country is the objective of this government but politically failed due to different circumstances and we are bound to the international community regarding the education, health and other good governance issues in Pakistan. Meanwhile, Sindh United Party Larkana chapter has widely condemned the killing of SUP worker and injured 20 people, while protesting against the influx of Internally Displaced People of Swat in Sindh. The leaders criticized the PPP government and said that always in the PPP government despite the arresting criminals they have tried to stop the activists of SUP. They said the killing of SUP worker will not block their struggle. They said after the creation of Pakistan conspiracies are being hatched to settle non Sindhi outsiders in Sindh to occupy on the resources of Sindh, the millions migrants have been accommodated in Sindh. They demanded from the Federal Government to with draw its decision to settle IDP’s of SWAT in Sindh. On the occasion in the meeting local leaders among Mehmood Bhutto, Amber Mughal, Ahmed Ali Tunio, Niaz Mugheri and Aftab Bhutto were present.
