LARKANA: July 29 , 2009. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) The Chief Minister Sindh advised the Anti Corruption Establishment to inject bud rampant corruption in Government Departments causing colossal losses to the province, henceforth the Chairman enquires and Anti Corruption Establishment informed that in a recent meeting of A.C.C-I, it was decided that civil servants who are facing the registration and prosecution in corruption cases, shall also be arrested for getting loss to the Sindh province and its precious resources. This he said by the Chairman Enquires and Anti Corruption Establishment Sindh Munawar Opel presided over a high level meeting with five District Coordination Officers of Larkana, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Kamber-Shahdadkot regarding to review the progress of the cases and further its prosecution.
On Wednesday at Circuit House Larkana, ACC-II Larkana, Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Kamber Shahdadkot @ Kamber districts’ about 300 cases were presented on the occasion and DCOs including Larkana Mohammad Jaffer Abbasi, DCO Kamber-Shahddkt Zahid Hussain Memon, DCO Jecobabad Kazim Hussain Jatoi Deputy Director Anti Corruption Establishment Larkana Region Fakhur Din Abro, Circles Officers of Larkana Region and other concerned officers attended the meeting and briefed the Chairman E& ACE Sindh.
The meeting was informed that all 19 cases were decided for Challan, out of which 12 cases of Larkana District, 3 in Shikarpur and 4 cases were challaned in Jacobabad districts during the year 2008, while 5 cases were approved for departmental action, 1 in Larkana district, 1 in Shikarpur and 1 in Kamber-Shadadkot, in this regard 7 cases were decided to dispose of under section 173 CrPc, out of which 5 cases of Larkana district, 2 cases of Shikarpur and 6 complains were converted into the cases in which 4 in Larkana and 2 in Shikarpur districts.
The meeting was also informed that during the year 2008 the 67 complains were decided for departmental action out of 43 in Larkana 8 in Shikarpur 16 in Kamber Shahdadkot, meanwhile 38 complains were decided to dispose off, which 29 in Larkana, 02 in Shikarpur, 07 in Kamber-Shadadkot.
The meeting was also informed that 144 applications were received and decided by the ACC-II to initiate open enquires out of which 77, in Larkana, 34 in Shikarpur and 34 in
Kamber-Shahdadkot.
It was also informed in the meeting that 34 applications were received and decided for departmental action out of which 7 in Larkana, 27 in Kamber Shahdadkot and 82 applications were received and decided to dispose off which 79 in Larkana, 01 in Shikarpur and 02 in Kamber Shahdadkot.
In this regard all 280 complaints were received out of which 221 were finalized in Larkana region as per details received in official meeting said the sources.
Chairman Enquiries and Anti-Corruption Sindh has urged upon all the DCOs that they must ensure to hold regular meetings of ACC-II, so that the cases may be decided in time and relief and justice may be provided to the common people without any discrimination.
Earlier, the Chairman Enquires and Anti Corruption Establishment Sindh Munawar Opel while presiding over a meeting of Circle officers of Anti Corruption of Larkana region to gear up their efforts and after completing all the legal formalities, arrest the accused persons without any delay and FIRs may be lodged against such guilty persons at once.
He also directed them to work without fear and favour and show performance and provide relief and justice to the people without any delay, so that corruption may be controlled in various departments.
He also said that all possible facilities may be provided to the circle officers and their problems will be resolved on priority basis, the meeting was attended by all concerned.
