Accountability of Judiciary, Military and Bureaucracy demanded by Civil Society Activists

LARKANA: January 23, 2010. (Nazir Siyal reports for PCP) Activists of Civil Society has demanded for the Accountability of all institutions including judiciary, military and civil bureaucracy, while the elected parliament has rights of legislation of constitutions and amendments which is the supreme body of the state. Speaking to a Media forum here at Larkana, Mohammed Ayoob Soomro and other activists said that the judiciary could not deliver justice to the earlier decision of political personalities and several years were detained without proof they served in the parliament. He said few politicians were involved on attack the judiciary but they were aquited without any punishment, which was injustice, the political expert said. He said the media is the public voice and simultaneously media playing its pivotal role regarding the development of country and provision of justice to the deprived people of country. He said there is double standard in the law of country, where the accused of Punjab province were released despite of proving their crime, while the sons of Sindh were punished and kept behind the bars without the justification of cases he said. He said the media is the voice of 170 million, so that the mandate of the people of country should be respected and any unconstitutional step and conspiracy against the parliament will not be tolerated by the masses activists said.
