SRINAGAR, February 10, 2009; (PCP) Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) will mark the 25th martyrdom anniversary of Maqbool Butt Shaheed by organising a rally in his ancestral place Trehgam on Wednesday 11th February 2009. The rally has been organised by Zonal body of JKLF. Supreme Head Ammanullah Khan is also expected to address the rally over the telephone. Political leaders of other Kashmiri organisations and both factions of Hurriyat Conference have also been invited. Senior Vice Chairman of JKLF, Sheikh Mohammad Afzal who also hails from Trehgam has appealed to the people to participate in this rally and show their solidarity with the Kashmir cause for which Maqbool Butt sacrificed his life. Sheikh Afzal also said despite all means of brutal force used by India in Kashmir, entire Kashmiri nation is still following the footsteps of Maqbool Butt and still are rendering great sacrifices for the cause of Independent Kashmir. Sheikh Mohammad Afzal further said that protest demonstrations and seminars will be organised by JKLF in UK, other parts of Europe, USA, Canada, Rawalpindi, Muzaffarabad and other districts of POK to mark the Shaheed Maqbool Butt’s day.
