Bangkok: September 10, 2015. (PCP) The Thailand immigration officials rounded up hundreds of women, children and men Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers who were duly registered with UNHCR today according to media reports.
Such a massive arrest of Pakistani Christians who fled from Pakistan and took refuge in Royal Kingdom of Thailand for safety and security of their life after rising violence against them on pretext to blasphemy law and attack on their life and property by Muslim mob in Islamic Republic of Pakistan was never witnessed since 2009, when they started arriving in Bangkok as transit and registered themselves with UNHCR to settle in other countries.
The government of Pakistan used its all means and resources to stop exodus of Pakistani Christian instead of reviving their basic equal democratic rights and their due share in resources of federation of Pakistan which they demanded.
As EU, USA, Canada and Australia were reluctant to issues visas to Pakistani Christians, they fled to Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Thailand and other South East Asian countries where visa issues were at ease.
The sources close to Pakistan Christian Post in Islamabad told in 2014 that government of Pakistan is using one Christian Minister in government to assure Sri Lankan government that Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers in Colombo are not victimized in Pakistan and they may be deported to Pakistan. The government of Pakistan succeeded through Christian minister in its government to put ban on entry without visa in Sri Lanka for Pakistani citizens. On which majority of Persecuted Pakistani Christians headed towards Thailand to safe their life.
In month of July 2015, sources close in government of Pakistan in Islamabad told PCP that Islamic Republic of Pakistan have taken notice of Pakistani Christian Asylum seekers in Bangkok and will bring them back.
It is learnt that when Ambassador of Pakistan Dr. Sohail Khan met with the Thai Prime Minister at a local trade fair in Bangkok on September 7, 2015, he raised issue of Pakistani Christian asylum seekers and sought help of Royal Thai government to send them back to Pakistan.
After meeting of Pakistani Ambassador with Thailand Prime Minister on September 7, 2015, the mass arrest of Pakistani Asylum seekers in Bangkok confirm reports that Pakistan government is using diplomatic means against Pakistani Christian asylum seekers.
The asylum seekers told Pakistan Christian Post from Bangkok that many Christian asylum seeker who work with few NGO are seen roaming in cars of Pakistan Embassy.
Such NGO workers are getting money from Pakistan Embassy and use it to collect data of Pakistani Christian asylum seekers.
Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC said that soon, names of Christian agents of Pakistan government who work against Pakistan Christian asylum seekers will be released. We are confirming that who went from Bangkok to meet ministry of Foreign Affair and Interior Ministry of Pakistan in Islamabad in months of July and August and compromised data of Pakistani Christian asylum seekers?
“To get released on bail is right of every individual who is detained by police of any government on globe but denying bail to Pakistan Christian asylum seekers in Bangkok is violation of charter of human rights of UNO. I will bring it in notice of Administration of Royal Thai Kingdom because Pakistani Christian asylum seekers are registered with UNHCR and deserve right of bail under immigration charges” added Nazir Bhatti
