NCIDE celebrates Mother’s Day 2017

Lahore: May 15, 2017. (PCP) National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism (Catholic Bishops Conference Pakistan) organized a programme to pay a tribute to mothers on the occasion of International Mother’s Day. The ceremony was held at Gulberg Lahore in association with Council for Interfaith Dialogue. Rev. Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap (Executive Secretary NCIDE) was the Chief Guest of the Programme. Mrs. Razia Malik, a renowned Drama Actress, writer and Directress was also present in the prograame. A big number of Muslim and Christian mothers got together to witness a tribute which was presented to them by their children. The children carried the pictures of their mothers while chanting slogan “We salute you MOM”. The Children presented beautiful tableaus and speeches. They also presented flowers and cards to their mothers. Rev. Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap congratulated all the mothers and appreciated the sacrifices of Mothers, he continued that Mother should train their children in a best way so that they should become the Ambassadors of peace and Harmony in future. He advised the children to be obedient to their mothers and always respect them. Mrs Razia Malik performed a short tableau in honour of her mother. She too admired all the mothers and encouraged them to bring up their children in a best way. Mr. Qamar Daniel thanked all the guests and especially the mothers to make this day more beautiful with their presence
