A case has been filed with the police in Sargodha district by Sahil Masih regarding the alleged kidnapping of his 14-year-old brother, Shamrez Masih.
According to the report, Shamrez had previously informed his family about alleged sexual abuse and death threats by Rana Munir, the owner of a motorcycle workshop where he was apprenticing.
When the family found out about this, they forbade him from going to the workshop.
Next day when Shamrez went out to get some household goods for home, the workshop owner kidnapped him and brought him to some clerics, telling them that he had already converted him to Islam.
After this incident, the family members noticed that Shamrez did not return home and started searching for him throughout the day but could not find him anywhere. And they decided to go to the police station where they filed their complaint against unknown persons for kidnapping.
When the family forbade Shamrez from going to the workshop, the workshop owner, Rana Munir, was afraid that the family might file a complaint of sexual assault against him, so he staged this drama of converting to Islam.
Previously, the people of Pakistan used to hire lawyers to hide their crimes, now they hire clerics to do this job.
